Espadrilles (or esparceñas) are a fundamental pillar of Spanish footwear tradition. At ESPARTINAS, we respect this sacred legacy: each of our pieces is hand-stitched in Spain by master artisans, using the highest quality natural jute and techniques passed down from generation to generation.
However, the true magical twist occurs on the upper. We are inspired by Mexican Talavera, that beautiful Puebla ceramic declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The complex geometric and floral patterns, traditionally depicted on clay, come to life in our footwear through meticulous, high-precision embroidery.
